The Benetti Hotel, Shell Cove

Octave Acoustics was engaged by Growthbuilt to provide comprehensive post tender acoustic consultancy to the Benetti Hotel project in Shell Cove. The project  involved the delivery of a luxury hotel offering suites, apartments, and resort-style amenities, including a ballroom, dining, and spa.

Key considerations involved rationalisation of party wall specifications, and acoustic treatments to mechanical systems including major base building plant and SOU fan coil units. Construction stage inspections were carried out to verify that key acoustic designs and details were implemented correctly including, swimming pool isolation, glazing installations and acoustic seals, mechanical treatments, plasterboard sheeting and junction detailing. Onsite sound insulation testing was carried out to confirm compliance with the applicable requirements of the BCA/NCC and Client’s PPRs.
